Submission to the 'Falling Block Jam 2025' game jam, with the theme Analog Memory, and the constraint that the game "involve blocks and falling."

Controls: Arrow keys or WASD to move. Spacebar to dash.

Objective: Dodge blocks as you fall. Collect coins to level up. Crashing loses all your coins and resets to Level 1.

Game #6 in my quest to start from participating in as many game jams as possible, honing my craft, and eventually creating a game worthy of being called Game of the Year!

Implement and refine a dash mechanic.

How did it go?

I technically implemented a dash, so mission accomplished. If I had more time I would have made a unique dash animation and refined the effect further. Additionally, the dash movement feels off to me, and the movement in the browser feels a bit "floaty." Overall, the game is not particularly polished.

  • Built in Unity game engine
  • Original music made in FL Studio
  • Custom SFX created in sfxr
  • In-game visuals are just basic geometry, particle systems with various coloring and post-processing applied
  • Made in 18 hours.
